The Fixers

I am a fixer. There are others of you out there. You know who you are. We are the ones who hear of someone’s suffering and are frustrated when we can’t think of a way to fix it … or, at least make them feel a littler better by easing their burden. Yes, I am fixer.  (I’m also Canadian, so I will take the blame, too.  Eh?)

Colossians-3-23I work with fixers and I’m so grateful.

Perhaps one of the first blessings received was my employer’s quick-acting nature to create a website for MacGyver. Before I could finish telling them about our pending situation, a personalized domain was purchased. A short-time later, a theme was installed and work began. MacGyver came into the office for a head shot and photo shoot. (The calender will be available for purchase soon. All funds will go towards our daughter’s tuition. Kidding!)

Aside from the website, I think one of God’s biggest foundations for our family in preparation for this was me finding this job. I love my job. I love who I work with. I love what I do. I sacrifice a lot of time in the car to get here, but even that is time spent with my daughter on the first leg and God on the second. We would be in much more of a pickle if I was still a stay-at-home mom. At least I know there is a reasonable income flowing in (and out!) of our bank account.

God provides. I’m excited to share with you how His hand is providing for us.

God is good!  All the time!
